South Hospital Expansion

Overview:

Using lean design and Six-Sigma methods of the client, Greg Hughes, the PBK Healthcare Director, led the planning of the expansion to this 185 Bed Regional Medical Center serving south Louisiana. The project added 48,000 new SF and 15,000 renovated SF to develop a new Main Entrance “front door”, and a new Dietary Department with new kitchen, dining, and meeting space. A new 54,000 annual visit ED was provided with new construction and renovation of the existing ED. As the project moved into construction the PBK Healthcare team provided overall leadership to coordinate construction challenges in the midst of ongoing Dietary Department and Emergency Department operations.
